Inspiration For Double Page Spread.
Mock Up Feedback From Teachers & Peers
Self Assesment- I Love My Front Cover! Although i dont think my masthead stands out and neither does the text / fotn I've chosen. For my conetnts page i just genreally dont like it, i think the backgrounds dull and dargs the picture down, although the cutting out is well done. My double Page Spread Would Not Upload onto my blog, but i think the article is good which is an interview, but my layout and photos need to change.
Kam Singh-
Kam agreed and said he liked my front cover as it was different but wasnt too keen on my DPS, he liked my shots, thought the picture did fit with the genre, my english and use of words was good and effective, thought id varied my size of my texts well. He didnt like my DPS but though the article was good, and thinks that the tyres on my front cover are abit out of place although it is an effective photo.
Louise Smith- Louise said that she loved my front cover photo and loved the DPS article, but thinks that my contents page let me down which i also agree with, she liked my photos and liked the outfits and colour used as it goes well withy my theme of pop, but thinks to get better marks i should try and use more varied shots, which i now intend on doing so.
Teachers- Overall My Teachers Belived That My Photographs Were Good But Too Raunchy & Suggestive For A Pop Magazine, Which Reflecting Upon Them I Do Agree With Some Of Them. My Masthead Needs To Stan Out More, Which I Have Now Done By Using A Creative & Bold Text. My Exclusive Interview Also Needs To Stand Out Alot More Too. My Colour Use And Range Of Skills And Use Of Photoshop However Is Good.

Editing Techniques
*Continuity Shots- Used throughout the video clip as the events are happening in a chronological oreder e.g: when she walks down the aisle, then looks at the other man, then runs away from her hsuband to be and leaves him at the aisle.
*Flashback- At 1.32minutes, there is a flashback shot of the man she loves throwing a bunch of flowers towards her. Its also been edited to be in black and white to show that it is in the past.
*Eye-line Match- At 2.17minute, as she turns around to look at her "lover" the camera meets the eyeline of mariah and her "lover" through this shot, this is used to establish the connection between the pair.
*Parellel Editing-This is used just about thorughout the whole of the firt minute of the music video of mariah in the shower crying over whats happened then the shot cuts back to what is actually happening like for instance her "lover" sitting outside the wedding and the little girl sprinkling the flowers down the aisle.

Potential Colour Schemes
Im planning on using black and white for my photography so would like to inlcude a similar colour scheme - black and white are bold and strong colours but alone could look boring so i am planning on using a minimal amount of a very pale shade of pink so it specifies to my target market of girls also pink connotes the "pop" music culture. I am only planning on using the pink for headers and only very minimally as i think it has the potential to look very tacky which im not aiming for. I also am considering about using a very dark grey that is almsot black for my headers but i dont want to risk using more than 3 colours and without the splash of pink the black,white/grey is very minimalistic and can look very basic.

Ideas For Location & Photo
These are shots that one of my friends has taken for her photography classes, i am going ot use these photos for inspiration as i like how the model is posing and especially like the black and white colour on some of the photos. I love the location and know where abouts it is so am consiedring going to this place to hold my photoshoot. My favourite location is the one with the tyres. Although im not too kean on the side shot in the last photo in particular i love the colouring and lighting effects and would consider doing this by using photoshop for my magazine.

Decisions
I have just realised that for my front cover it is neccesary that i must only have one person modelling, which does not work with my original idea as i was going to have a couple on my front. I have now changed my idea to fit with the spec, so my new idea is a black and white photo of Leonie Holder (The Photo), she now has dark hair though with extensions, so i've decided i want it loose curls like cheryl coles hair style. i want to take a mid shot or a long shot with Leonie posing in skinny jeans, boot heels but topless with her holding an LP disk to cover herself so nothing is exposed, she has agreed to do this. I also want the background to be inside a derelict building which my stepdad has arranged to sort out for myself. It is similar to this photoshoot above/below, which i think looks up to date yet very rustic and simplistic which is what im aiming for, i also like the pose and style of this photo.

This is a magazine that is universally known as a "pop" mag, it is aimed at young teens probably aged between 10-14, its also aimed at females. I want to make my magazine alot more sleek and sophisticated than this as my target audience is females aged 16-24, i want my colours to be very neautral of black, white & grey, I'm also having a black and white photograph of my "upcoming couple". To appeal to my target audience i have decided on baby pink or hot pink headers so it still relates to the pop genre. I like the idea that the picture is in the centre of the page on this magazine so it draws all the attention to the photograph, i think i want to do this for my magazine. Unlike this magazine i dont want to have any more photos on my front cover as i want all the focus to be on the centre picture. I also like how the "free" is in bold so this also appeals to teh audience, i may use this to attract the reader.

Inspiration For Magazine Contents Pages
Explaining Moodboard
I have chosen various artists and bands for my moodboard who produce pop music, these people include singers like Beyonce and The Saturdays. I've included a variety of different TV programmes and films that relate to the sort of people who are likely to read my pop magazine these are things such as 90210, Mean Girls and The Simple Life. The H&M and River Island logos represent the sort of shops these females are likely to purchase from. I've also included the pink limo and perfume as these colours are very feminine and also represnt glamour and fame, which is the pop cultures lifestyle. All though i have mentioned that my magazine is stereotypically aimed at females, i have also put in a picture of Justin Timberlake who is a male pop artist so my magazine could be suitable for both genders, Justin Timberlake is also stereotypically viewn as a young females dream man, so even if he didn't appeal to boys, females would still read the magazine.

The Things I Have Currently Decided Upon
So far i have decided to do a music magazine in the genre of pop music as i have found after plenty of research a gap in the market, that there is currently no music magazine that feature the "pop" music culture. I am going to aim my magazine at teen girls aged between 16-24 who are interested in the latest pop music and the latest fashion that all the "pop" celebs are wearing.
I have also decided on my models for the front cover its going to be a picture of an upcoming couple in black and white topless but not exposing anything. On the double page spread im planning on doing an interview with the couple, talking about what sort of response they get from the public.
