Film Prelim

Our first exercise in Media was to create a short film with the brief to walk in, exchange dialogue and walk out, including a 180 degrees camera shot. In my group there was Louise, Kamaldeep, Tommy and Rob. Me and Rob acted while the others filmed and directed. I acted as a victim held at ransom for money. We incorporated a variety of camera shots from close ups to shot reverse shots and point of view shots. We then loaded each clip onto the computer and used imovie to edit each clip and put them all together so it ran coherently. We then used a program called garage band where we made our own backing track for our film, and finally put the finished piece on youtube.
